Effective from the 1st of July 2019, The Property Council of Australia has increased the environmental standards for all existing commercial office buildings of Premium and A Grade quality.
These are significant changes to the PCA building quality matrix requirements, introducing a minimum standard for indoor environment performance and waste performance for the first time in history.
An asset’s designated grade can have strong ramifications for the value of the asset, annual operating costs, and capacity to charge a premium price for rent.
